INSTALLATION PROCESS
The activTeck INDUCT 5000 unit size is scaled to accommodate the various air flow rates of different HVAC systems. Determine the area you are intending to install ActivTek INDUCT 5000 into, then pick the model number that corresponds to that area.
- May be wired into 120/220 volt connections.
- Four mounting holes in the chassis provide swift installation.
- Installation must be by a licensed HVAC professional.
- To properly size the ActivTek INDUCT 5000 when only the tonnage is known or given:
- 1 ton equals 550 cfm (cubic feet per minute) of airflow.
- Example: 10-ton AC unit = 10 X 550 = 5,500 cfm or 1 ActivTek INDUCT 5000 (14” single probe unit).
- Airflow is sometimes listed as scfm (standard cubic feet per minute) which is the same thing and calculated the same way.
- A general ‘rule-of-thumb’ is 1 CFM equals 1 square foot of area served.
